Terms of service

MEShed™ TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: 10 September 2026

Welcome to Meshed™.

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Meshed™ website and your purchase of products through our online store.

By accessing our website, creating an account, placing an order or purchasing a product from Meshed™, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with our other applicable policies.

These Terms are intended to comply with applicable laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right, remedy, warranty or protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

1. ABOUT MESHED™

Meshed™ is an online retail store offering kitchen and household products to customers in South Africa.

Throughout these Terms:

  • "Meshed™"

  • "we"

  • "us"

  • "our"

refer to Meshed™ and the applicable business entity operating the online store.

References to:

  • "you"

  • "customer"

  • "consumer"

refer to the person accessing the website or purchasing products from Meshed™.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By using this website or purchasing from Meshed™, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or place an order.

If you are legally incapable of entering into a binding agreement, you should not place an order without the involvement of a person who is legally authorised to do so.

3. ELIGIBILITY

You must provide accurate information when using our website or placing an order.

You must not use the website for unlawful purposes or in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden or interfere with the operation of the website.

Meshed™ reserves the right to refuse or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our business, our customers or third parties, subject to applicable law.

4. PRODUCTS

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications and pricing displayed on the website are accurate.

However:

  • Product images may vary slightly from the physical product;

  • Screen settings may affect the appearance of colours;

  • Packaging may change;

  • Product specifications may change where reasonably necessary; and

  • Minor variations may occur between individual products.

Nothing in this section permits Meshed™ to misrepresent the characteristics, quality, performance or benefits of a product.

5. PRODUCT INFORMATION

Customers are responsible for reviewing product information before placing an order.

This includes:

  • Product description;

  • Dimensions;

  • Materials;

  • Intended use;

  • Care instructions;

  • Quantity;

  • Compatibility information where applicable; and

  • Any warnings or limitations provided with the product.

If you are uncertain whether a product is suitable for your intended purpose, contact Meshed™ before purchasing.

6. PRICES

All product prices displayed on the website are stated in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise indicated.

The applicable price will be displayed before the customer completes the purchase.

Where applicable, shipping costs and other charges will be displayed before the order is completed.

Meshed™ will not intentionally charge a customer more than the applicable displayed price for a product, subject to lawful corrections or circumstances permitted by applicable law.

7. PRICING ERRORS

Meshed™ makes reasonable efforts to ensure that prices are accurate.

If a genuine and obvious pricing error occurs, Meshed™ may contact the customer before processing the order to clarify the correct price.

Where the law permits cancellation of an order because of an obvious error, Meshed™ may cancel the affected order and refund any payment received.

Meshed™ will not use this provision to avoid an otherwise valid transaction merely because a price later becomes inconvenient or less profitable.

8. ORDERS

When you place an order through the website, you are submitting an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is subject to acceptance, availability and successful payment.

Meshed™ may contact you where additional information is required to process the order.

An automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that Meshed™ has finally accepted an order where circumstances require further verification.

9. ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Meshed™ reserves the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable;

  • A genuine pricing or listing error occurred;

  • Payment cannot be successfully processed;

  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is reasonably suspected;

  • The order contains materially incorrect information;

  • A technical error affected the order; or

  • Fulfilment is otherwise not reasonably possible.

Where payment has already been received for an order that Meshed™ cancels, applicable refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law.

10. PAYMENT

Payment must be successfully completed before an order can be processed for dispatch, unless another payment arrangement has been expressly offered by Meshed™.

Customers must use a valid payment method that they are authorised to use.

Meshed™ does not intentionally store full payment-card information where payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider.

Payment providers may have their own terms, privacy policies and security procedures.

11. PAYMENT SECURITY

Meshed™ uses third-party payment-processing services where applicable.

While we take reasonable measures to protect our website and customer information, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Customers should never send payment-card information, passwords or other sensitive information to Meshed™ through unsecured communication channels.

12. DELIVERY

Meshed™ delivers orders using third-party courier services.

Our standard estimated delivery timeframe is:

8–11 BUSINESS DAYS

The 8–11 business day period is an estimated delivery timeframe and not a guaranteed delivery date.

Delivery may take longer because of:

  • Public holidays;

  • High-volume periods;

  • Courier delays;

  • Remote-area delivery;

  • Severe weather;

  • Road closures;

  • Transport disruptions;

  • Incorrect customer information;

  • Failed delivery attempts; or

  • Other circumstances outside Meshed™'s reasonable control.

For complete delivery terms, please refer to the Meshed™ Shipping & Delivery Policy.

13. DELIVERY RISK

Meshed™ will comply with applicable South African law concerning delivery and risk.

Nothing in these Terms transfers statutory delivery risk to the customer where applicable law places that risk on the supplier.

Once delivery has been properly completed and accepted, the customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the product, subject to applicable warranties and consumer rights.

14. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

Meshed™ is not responsible for delays or failed delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable law.

Where reasonably possible, Meshed™ may assist in correcting delivery information.

Additional delivery costs resulting from customer-caused errors may be charged where legally permitted.

15. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Returns and refunds are governed by the Meshed™ Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Customers may have statutory rights relating to:

  • Defective products;

  • Unsafe products;

  • Non-conforming products;

  • Electronic transactions;

  • Certain cooling-off periods;

  • Delivery failures; and

  • Other circumstances prescribed by law.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory statutory rights.

16. CONSUMER WARRANTIES

Where applicable, products sold by Meshed™ are subject to statutory consumer protections under South African law.

Qualifying defective, unsafe or non-conforming goods may give rise to statutory remedies, including repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Customers should contact Meshed™ promptly if they believe a product has a defect or does not comply with the applicable requirements.

17. PRODUCT USE

Customers must use products only for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions or warnings provided with the product.

Meshed™ is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorised modification or use contrary to supplied instructions, subject to applicable law.

For food-contact products, customers should follow all applicable cleaning, care and usage instructions.

18. FOOD-CONTACT PRODUCTS

Some Meshed™ products are designed for use in food preparation or food handling.

Customers are responsible for using and cleaning these products appropriately.

Customers should not use a product for an application for which it was not designed.

Any product-specific warnings, instructions or limitations supplied with the product form part of the applicable product information.

19. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, all content appearing on the Meshed™ website is owned by or licensed to Meshed™.

This may include:

  • Logos;

  • Brand names;

  • Product names;

  • Product photographs;

  • Graphics;

  • Videos;

  • Written content;

  • Website design;

  • Layout;

  • Product descriptions;

  • Marketing material; and

  • Other original website content.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, republish or commercially exploit Meshed™ content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

20. MEShed™ TRADEMARK

The Meshed™ name, logo, product names and associated branding may constitute trademarks or protected intellectual property.

Unauthorised use of Meshed™ branding is prohibited where such use infringes applicable intellectual-property rights.

21. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

If Meshed™ allows customers to submit reviews, photographs, comments or other content, you remain responsible for the content you submit.

You must not submit content that:

  • Is unlawful;

  • Is fraudulent;

  • Is defamatory;

  • Infringes another person's intellectual-property rights;

  • Contains malicious software;

  • Contains personal information belonging to another person without lawful authority;

  • Is abusive or threatening; or

  • Misrepresents your experience with Meshed™.

By submitting content to Meshed™, you grant Meshed™ a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display and publish that content for legitimate business and marketing purposes, subject to applicable law.

22. REVIEWS

Customers must provide genuine and honest reviews based on their actual experience.

Meshed™ does not require customers to provide positive reviews.

Meshed™ reserves the right to remove or decline to publish reviews that contain unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant or otherwise inappropriate content, subject to applicable law.

23. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We aim to keep the website available and functioning properly.

However, Meshed™ does not guarantee that the website will always be:

  • Available;

  • Error-free;

  • Uninterrupted;

  • Secure;

  • Free from technical faults; or

  • Free from viruses or other harmful components.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

24. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Meshed™ may use third-party services, including:

  • Payment processors;

  • Courier companies;

  • Hosting providers;

  • Shopify;

  • Analytics services;

  • Marketing platforms; and

  • Other technology providers.

Third-party services may have their own terms and policies.

Meshed™ is not responsible for the independent actions, systems or policies of third parties except to the extent required by applicable law.

25. COURIER SERVICES

Meshed™ uses third-party courier services to fulfil deliveries.

Courier delivery is subject to the courier's operational procedures.

Meshed™ will reasonably assist with delivery problems but cannot control:

  • Courier routing;

  • Driver availability;

  • Delivery scheduling;

  • Traffic;

  • Depot operations;

  • Courier staffing; or

  • Other internal courier decisions.

The standard Meshed™ delivery estimate remains 8–11 business days.

26. PROHIBITED USE

You may not use the Meshed™ website to:

  • Violate any applicable law;

  • Commit fraud;

  • Attempt unauthorised access;

  • Interfere with website security;

  • Introduce malicious software;

  • Scrape or harvest information unlawfully;

  • Copy website content for unauthorised commercial use;

  • Impersonate another person;

  • Submit false information; or

  • Interfere with another customer's use of the website.

27. ACCOUNT SECURITY

If the website permits customer accounts, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information.

You must notify Meshed™ if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

Meshed™ is not responsible for losses resulting from a customer's failure to protect their login credentials, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

28. PRIVACY

Personal information submitted through the Meshed™ website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Customers should review the Privacy Policy before providing personal information.

29. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Where permitted by law, Meshed™ may send customers marketing communications about products, promotions or services.

Customers may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the applicable unsubscribe mechanism or by contacting Meshed™.

Transactional communications, such as order confirmations, delivery notifications and important account information, may still be sent where reasonably necessary.

30. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

Promotions, discount codes and special offers may be subject to additional terms.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Promotions cannot be combined;

  • Promotional offers may be limited to specified products;

  • Discount codes may have expiry dates;

  • Promotional quantities may be limited; and

  • Meshed™ may correct obvious promotional errors.

Any promotion will remain subject to applicable consumer law.

31. GIFT CARDS AND VOUCHERS

If Meshed™ offers gift cards, vouchers or store credits, additional terms may apply to those products.

Any expiry, redemption or use conditions will be communicated to the customer in accordance with applicable law.

32. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meshed™ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from:

  • Website interruption;

  • Third-party service failures;

  • Courier delays;

  • Customer-provided incorrect information;

  • Unauthorised use of an account;

  • Events outside Meshed™'s reasonable control; or

  • Other circumstances where such limitation is legally permitted.

This clause does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes liability for matters where South African law prohibits such exclusion.

33. NO EXCLUSION OF STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms:

  • Waives a consumer's statutory rights;

  • Removes a statutory warranty;

  • Excludes a remedy that the law requires Meshed™ to provide;

  • Permits Meshed™ to act unlawfully; or

  • Overrides mandatory consumer-protection legislation.

If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory statutory consumer protection, the applicable statutory protection will prevail.

The CPA specifically restricts terms that attempt to waive or override statutory consumer rights and requires certain liability-limiting provisions to be properly brought to the consumer's attention. (SAFLII)

34. INDEMNITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses reasonably caused by your unlawful use of the website, fraud, intentional misconduct or infringement of third-party rights.

This clause does not require you to indemnify Meshed™ for matters where such an indemnity would be prohibited or unenforceable under applicable law.

35. TERMINATION

Meshed™ may suspend or terminate access to website features or customer accounts where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Fraud;

  • Abuse;

  • Unlawful activity;

  • Security concerns;

  • Repeated misuse of the website; or

  • Other legitimate operational reasons.

Termination does not remove rights or obligations that accrued before termination.

36. FORCE MAJEURE

Meshed™ will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control.

Such circumstances may include:

  • Natural disasters;

  • Floods;

  • Fires;

  • Severe weather;

  • Strikes;

  • Civil unrest;

  • War;

  • Government action;

  • Infrastructure failures;

  • Major technology failures;

  • Courier disruptions;

  • Supplier disruptions; or

  • Other events outside our reasonable control.

Meshed™ will take reasonable steps to resume normal operations when circumstances permit.

37. CHANGES TO PRODUCTS OR SERVICES

Meshed™ may update, modify, discontinue or replace products, website features or services from time to time.

Changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted except where permitted or required by applicable law.

38. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Meshed™ may update these Terms of Service from time to time.

The updated version will be published on the website with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Changes will generally apply to future use of the website and future transactions, subject to applicable law.

39. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

When you use the Meshed™ website, place an order or communicate with us electronically, you consent to receiving electronic communications relating to your transaction and use of the website, subject to applicable law.

Electronic communications may include:

  • Order confirmations;

  • Payment confirmations;

  • Shipping notifications;

  • Customer-service communications;

  • Account notifications; and

  • Other transactional communications.

40. ELECTRONIC RECORDS

Meshed™ may maintain electronic records of transactions, orders, communications and other relevant information.

Customers should retain their order confirmation, invoice and other transaction records.

ECTA requires online suppliers to provide consumers with access to relevant transaction information and certain information about the transaction before an electronic order is completed. (SAFLII)

41. ORDER REVIEW AND CORRECTION

Before completing an order, customers should carefully review:

  • Products;

  • Quantities;

  • Prices;

  • Delivery information;

  • Contact information;

  • Shipping charges; and

  • Payment information.

Customers should correct any errors before finalising the order.

Where the website provides an opportunity to review and correct an order, customers should use that functionality before submitting the final order.

42. DELIVERY PERFORMANCE

Unless otherwise agreed, Meshed™ will process orders in accordance with the applicable delivery timeframe communicated to the customer.

Our normal estimated delivery timeframe is 8–11 business days.

ECTA provides specific rules concerning supplier performance and cancellation where an order is not executed within the agreed period. Nothing in these Terms overrides those statutory provisions. (SAFLII)

43. CANCELLATION RIGHTS

Customers may have statutory cancellation rights under South African law depending on the circumstances of the transaction.

These may include rights relating to electronic transactions, delivery failures or defective/non-conforming goods.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, Meshed™ will comply with the applicable requirements.

44. COOLING-OFF RIGHTS

Where applicable, ECTA provides a statutory electronic-transaction cooling-off right for qualifying transactions.

The applicable statutory period and exclusions will determine whether the right applies to a particular transaction.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a cooling-off right where it legally applies.

45. DISPUTES AND COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint, please contact Meshed™ first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

Please provide:

  • Your name;

  • Order number;

  • Description of the issue; and

  • Any relevant supporting information.

We aim to resolve legitimate complaints reasonably and efficiently.

46. ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Where appropriate, Meshed™ may seek to resolve disputes through an applicable alternative dispute-resolution or consumer complaint process.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising a statutory right to approach a competent authority, regulator, court or other legally available forum.

47. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

South African consumer-protection legislation applies where applicable, regardless of any provision in these Terms attempting to provide otherwise.

48. JURISDICTION

Subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable law, disputes concerning these Terms may be dealt with by a competent court in South Africa.

Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from exercising any mandatory right concerning the appropriate forum or dispute-resolution mechanism.

49. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable where legally possible.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

50. NO WAIVER

If Meshed™ does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean that Meshed™ has permanently waived its right to enforce that provision later.

Any waiver must be consistent with applicable law.

51. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with the applicable:

  • Privacy Policy;

  • Returns & Refunds Policy;

  • Shipping & Delivery Policy; and

  • Other policies or terms expressly incorporated into the transaction,

form the applicable terms governing your use of the Meshed™ website and purchases made through it, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

52. IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE

By using the Meshed™ website or placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • You have had an opportunity to review these Terms;

  • You should check product information before purchasing;

  • The standard estimated delivery timeframe is 8–11 business days;

  • Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed;

  • Returns and refunds are governed by the applicable Meshed™ Returns & Refunds Policy;

  • Products remain subject to applicable statutory warranties and consumer protections;

  • Electronic transactions remain subject to applicable ECTA requirements; and

  • Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Thank you for choosing Meshed™.

 Terms of Service + Shipping & Delivery + Returns & Refunds, without relying on an “all sales final” or “Meshed accepts no liability whatsoever” clause that could create problems under the CPA. (SAFLII)
